ON GRID SOLAR SYSTEM

In grid tie system the DC power produced by the solar panel is combined through a DC combiner box and is then fed to the Grid Synchronous Inverter. The inverter in-turn will convert the available DC power into AC power and will feed it to the Bi-Directional meter. The Bi-Directional meter is special equipment that can measure the flow of AC current in both direction, unlike the regular EB meter which can measure the flow of current in only one direction.

The AC power generated from the Grid Tied inverter is used by all the house hold equipment. If excess power is generated than required then this power will flow into the utility grid through the Bi-Directional meter. In the Bi-Directional meter credit will be accumulated if power is exported and this can be adjusted with the monthly power consumption. Excess power can be carry forwarded to the next month and this credit can be accumulated for one year.

OFF GRID SOLAR SYSTEM

In Off Grid system the DC power generated from the solar panel is fed to a DC combiner box from where the power is routed to a solar charge controller. The solar charge controller is responsible for charging the battery to its maximum capacity and also for protecting the battery from over charging. The charge controller can only charge the battery during day time when solar power is available.

The power stored in the battery is then fed to a Inverter which converts the DC power to AC power, this is in turn used to power the appliance. Since there is no utility grid this system is completely dependent on solar power only, hence the battery bank for the off grid system will be large compared to other system types.

SOLAR SUBSTATION AND SCADA

Solar SCADA systems log and monitor data from meters, inverters, weather stations, trackers, DC strings and substation equipment. Solar system engineer can determine when to deploy technicians to resolve any issues by analyzing the SCADA data.” SCADA systems in the solar substation enables to collect and analyse Device-level analysis, Tracker angle, Satellite weather/forecasting, Meter, Billing, Documentation.

The plant operational data collected at the SCADA makes sense to incorporate advanced analytics and performance management functionality into the same SCADA system rather than add external systems. This reduces overall operational costs. On top of this, collecting data in real time allows to improve the efficiency of the plant to be more readily addressed.

Lennart uses PV Syst software in designing the solar system and also engineer, procure, supply, integrate, test, install and commission the solar system with SCADA and undertakes AMC of system that we have supplied.
